logo500The services provided by Sophie Grace Pty Ltd were used to establish the regulatory requirements for one of Australia’s first Bitcoin companies.  Bitcoin is the world’s original and foremost decentralised digital currency.

Sophie Grace was approached by the Australian based company, Independent Reserve Pty Ltd with the objective of initiating and operating one of the first Bitcoin bank and exchange offerings within Australia.

Sophie Grace liaised with ASIC, assisting Independent Reserve to obtain a determination that their business model is not required to operate within the confines of the Australian financial services laws and regulations.

Independent Reserve’s mission is to transform the way the world uses Bitcoin, by providing the growing number of global Bitcoin users a secure, reliable, fast and convenient way to trade, exchange and hold Bitcoins by removing the barriers to entry whilst simultaneously seizing the gap in the Australian market.

“Sophie and her associates did a terrific job liaising with ASIC on what was a challenging task, due to the complex nature of digital currency and its place within the Australian regulatory landscape.  We continue to work with Sophie Grace Compliance for all of our regulatory issues.”  Adam Tepper

Sophie Grace has been appointed as Independent Reserve’s compliance consultant. Sophie Grace assists Independent Reserve to comply with their regulatory obligations, primarily their anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing requirements.
