This template is a complete Hardship Policy that is easily customisable to your business. The document outlines policies and procedures for dealing with financial hardship, in compliance with the National Consumer Credit Act and Credit Licence obligations. This policy is appropriate for businesses where a Credit Licence was granted after 31 March 2013.

This template has been developed to meet the requirements as outlined in ASIC Regulatory Guides 205 and 209. This template also takes into consideration ASIC’s guidance and practical actions contained in Rep 782: Hardship, hard to get help: Findings and actions to support customers in financial hardship.
